The sacrament of baptism is usually held during the 10:30 am service on selected Sundays in the year. One does not have to be a member of St. Dunstan's to request a baptism for their child or themselves. Minimal preparation is required, and this involves meeting with the priest on the Wednesday evening prior to the baptism occurring. Baptismal Sundays for the year 2010 are as follows: April 11 (Second Sunday of Easter) June 6 (Second Sunday after Pentecost) November 7 (All Saints' Day) Please call the church office (416-283-1844) to request the form, or to obtain additional information GodparentsThe role of godparent has changed and they no longer become the official guardian of the child should sometime tragic occur to the child's parents. Godparents are there to support the parents in their role as a Christian model for the child. As such the godparents should be people who profess a faith as well. One or two godparents are normally appointed by the parents, and the godparents should attend the preparation evening as well. Private BaptismPrivate baptisms are not normally held, unless special circumstances dictate doing so.
